The Patriot Act allows the F.B.I. and other government agencies to enter / search buildings, search through Internet search engines ( such as google, ask, and yahoo ), tap phones, and intercept phone communication.
Is this constitutional or not?
The way I look at it is that the only things the government agencies will be looking for when using the Patriot Act are things that will do harm to America. If you are not betraying America, what do you have to hide? These government agencies will not just choose a random number out of a phone book and decide to tap it because that would be a waste of their time. The only time one of these government agencies will tap a phone, or search a building is when they have a very good suspicion of a terrorist attack or some other thing of that sort.
